Please don't hurt me
I'm too small
I'm too fragile
I'm too raw

Red from trying to wipe
Away the marks
Of old times past
On my broken heart

Ripped to shreds too many
Times
Trust no one
Leave everyone behind.

Shedding tears
A regular thing
No happy jingling
No church bells ring.

Please don't hurt me
I'm too small
I'm too fragile
I'm still too raw.
