don't see me as the weakling
that I maybe once had been
I know so much better now
and I've gotten stronger within
I refuse to fall again
for another excuse you make
because I can no longer tell
if what you tell me is fake
can you see that I've changed?
nothing was ever quite right
and it is because of you
that I now see the light
if you look a little closer
I am sure you will find
that you cannot so easily
trick me into changing my mind
I just don't care anymore
about what you have to say
it won't make a difference
I doubt you'd mean it anyway
my skin has grown tough
I see through your defenses
too bad I had to get hurt
before I came to my senses
perhaps you may change
but to that idea, I am not sold
when it comes to you
my heart has turned cold
