A Meeting of Minds
Ours was a meeting of the mind.
Respect, love, caring,
Two minds meeting.
Not bodies sharing
Better the glow of love forever
Than the heat of lust for a short while.
Better a hand to hold for all times
Than one moment however wonderful
Better a shoulder to lean on
Than a neck to caress.
The memory of a kiss, the words unspoken
The smile that says, I love you.
Minds wills know, yours and mine
But hearts will never tell
Those lips that tell what cannot be told
The warmth that says no breath dare mention
And the eyes that speak volumes
That no author might have time to write
A touch, just a gentle touch
Knowing, not needing more, but wanting all
A kiss that makes love in a mind that needs love
Never being lovers will never stop me loving you
Well forever be friends, and that will always be true.

A beautiful write. I truely do understand the feeling you wrote. I have such a friend, of whom, I feel the same way. IF only he would just go forward. But to love him is something he is aware and afraid too. For me Im not afraid. So the love is always there in friendship, always. such a write brought my memory so clear to light. Beautiful indeed.
