Rainbow

Contributed by THORN on Saturday, 30th October 2004 @ 03:34:39 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Formed by nature,
A beautiful arc,
Striped with colors,
It shines in the sky

Looked upon by the world,
Such a dazzling site,
Filled with happiness,
It shines in the sky

A pot of gold it rewards,
Guarded by a mystical creature,
Big in size,
It shines in the sky

Sadly its time is short,
The sun will shine,
For the remainder of its time,
It shines in the sky

Rainbow.

beautifull in its simplicity like a rainbow, I got a sense of awe and wonder in the first 3 stanza's the final stanza brought me back to earth with a reminder that all things in nature are lost to the pace of modern life

Sadly we are decimating them with our smog and haze. One day they won't be able to be seen anymore. That is sad to me.
