I wonder if you'd still be here
If you really knew me?
Would you sit and stay awhile
If you saw right through me?
No one ever has seen through
If they did they'd run a mile!
But I don't think they have a clue,
For all they do is smile -
At the silly things I say
And the pointless things I do
'She's so free, and oh so pretty'
Oh, if only you knew.
But you will never know my dear,
The things that haunt me so.
For I will be the one you want,
And me? You'll never know.
