They say time heals all wounds, what do they know
I say the scars they leave behind continue only to grow
The things left unsaid, the what ifs and how comes
Beat thru a person's mind like an unfaltering drum
They say you dont know what you got till its gone
That I agree with and will never belive to be wrong
The regrets and the heartache you could have prevented
Echos thru your mind till you feel almost demented
They say nothing is forever, all good things come to an end
Never till now, would have my opinion changed or began to bend
The good things I felt and should have held onto
I let slip thru my fingers, I lost, now what am I to do
