A town peaceful and small Empty street and vacant buildings Tractors in the fields Semi's cruzzing on the highway Parks empty Schools shrinking Darkness falls Lights flicker off and on An owl hoots from above Wild dogs howl from a distance Screams and cries Come from a burnt down abandon house On the edge of town A young girl appers Sad and wanting me to follow Afraid and unaware I awake screaming God it was only a dream

Quite a pot-pourri and would benefit from furthur expansion in order to clarify the metaphors which appear to be heavily coded, perhaps even preconsciously.
