Is honesty dying
Should I start lying
My integrity hurts me
And rots my insides
You say I am thoughtless
You say I don't feel
You forget what has happened
You forgot what is real
But if I should speak
For you wish me to lie
I would say that I love you
That I am smiling inside
But if I were honest
I would tell you the truth
I only know what I've witnessed
And I no longer care about you
Did you think you were special
That I would let it slide
That I would consider you an angel
When all I hear are lies
Is honesty dying
Does this pain you to hear
The truth may be frightening
But I still do not care
