ROCK N ROLL OR DEATH

Contributed by thegurl on Saturday, 30th October 2004 @ 11:36:45 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

maybe you’re right about me
I am obsessed with music
the beauty of it and overall
the fact that it is mine
at least for the moment
it gives me a bliss and I smile
which makes you bitter cause
you see clearly the reality
you cannot destroy what
you did not create
so you try to force onto me
the power of quiet-
does two things for me
drive me mad and
turn the realism of grace
into a sour sting and then
it’s just a stain on a conscious
understand this
I need it to survive
all I can give you is this
the art of deception
no wait that’s wrong
not the art but illusion
for I didn’t lie to you
you stare and choose not
to see what was before
so I laugh as I watch you
struggle with the thought
that music is in fact
the thread that keeps us
moving on day to day.

I agree where you are coming from. Music is yours for the moment, and thats so powerful. Didn't like how you used the line from Slipknot, but Duality is such an agressive song that its hard to not write off some of there work.
