Here I lie where life is lost,
Wondering how to rest after what Ive seen.
I know I must regain my strength;
If I am weak, death will surely take me.
It is a relief to be away from the devils labor,
But this is worse even than hell.
Humans cannot live this way.
I hear my fellows whispering about hope.
I laugh at the feeling I used to possess.
I am almost soulless bones.
Hope has no place where death rules.
But I won't die yet.
So I will now dream, of what I do not know
I am hardly better in dreams than awake.
