The Perpetuation of a Day

I watched you fade like summer, Remain my solitude with this cold winter night;
I need the stranger in these even stranger times To rid myself of these memories of you;
The days have passed through an hourglass, As I wait frantically for the new;
Haunting images of the sparkle like white in your eyes, Mine no longer see, nor run yet lay still like stone, like ice;
I darken my nights to close my eyes, I utilize as a mean to hold you once more;
I feel my heart crumble to the ash, To know that I miss you like a piece of myself lost;
Although tomorrow is a new day, For me it will always be the same one.

You have captured the essence of lost love with such delicacy. I can't find words. Breathtaking.

To be honest this has broken my heart again. the wounds of lost loves will never be healed only treated. I beleive that the two most powerfull emotions are love and greif from loss of love, my heart trully goes out to you and know that other feel this pain as well. While it never fully leaves us it will subside in time. My blessings to you. |
