Not me says I, with a gleam in my eye
Not you?! roars he, not a hint of glee
Not he?! cries she, spilling the tea
So indeed, we three would seem to agree.
I am not who they seek
Their world they can keep
Because I only planned
To stay for a week.
She is a spinster in search of a honey
And he is an ogre missing his money
What a miserable adventure
Not at all funny.
For the wench wants to wed
The ogre, me dead
This fairy tale world
Is a nightmare instead.
With a straight face I lied
Youll find a groom in due time
But Im not for this world
For Ive a wife back in mine.
As for the ogres gold
Heres what I told:
The real culprit fled
My, he was bold!
Then I escaped with no hesitation
A hags love and ogre mutilation
But surely next week
Will be the same situation.
For the ogre was right in his accusations
And I lied to the hag with her infatuations
Crooked for life, a thief till I die
And Ill do it again with no reservations.
