You only want to hurt me
I just don't understand why
My faith was only for you
The only way to get by
There's a footprint on my heart
And I hate the reason why
I stare at my lonely wrist
And I think that I can fly
I truly care about you
But I refuse to realize
That my heart has been stolen
And blinded as been my eyes
I hate who I have become
Why cannot I compromize?
I could meet myself halfway
I'd be able to get by
But I will cry forever
And I hate the reason why

Beautifully written . . . I know the feeling well enough and you did a v. good job describing it. Also, I know how it can hurt, and I'm truly sorry. The bright side: nothing can stay like this perpetually, and you'll have your smiles back soon. You will.
