His eyes bore into mine As black as coal Secured tightly in his arms, everything's fine His beautiful smile sparks a light in my soul
He wraps his arms around my waist He holds me firmly, but not too tight The midnight air is all I taste As we soar off into the dark night
For once I feel serenity I have no expectations or standards to meet I let down my guard and be me We fly higher, away from fury's heat
His white wings beat against the black sky Until we reach the Pearly Gates Where I watch my whole worthless life pass by He takes my hand and places it in Fate's
Then I awake to the world of mine Everywhere there's hate and yelling Nothing is fine Nothing was real in the story I was telling
Angel of Death, come back to me please Take me into the world of love You're all I can think of as I'm beat to my knees Carry me into the Heavens above
