MY ONLY DESIRE

My only desire is to bless the name of the Lord,
The name that is above every name, the only name given whereby we must be saved
For at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that He is Lord
He is Emmanuel, God with us, in Him we move and have our being,
His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Prince of Peace, the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Almighty God,
The government shall be upon His shoulders and not ours to bare, for He has borne it upon Himself, as He hung there in the air
My only desire is to bless the name of the Lord,
The name whispered down through fourteen generations, waiting for Him to appear,
Now, has He come with all power and authority in His hand, we have no more reason to fear,
For He has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind,
So, rejoice, O my soul and all that is within me, O bless His holy name, for He is good and merciful and so very tender and kind!
In His name, we shall conquer every evil force, proclaiming and confessing the goodness of God in a holy discourse,
Written upon the tables of our hearts with the finger of His glory and love, expressed fully in the fluttering wings of the snow-white dove!
My only desire is to bless the name of the Lord,

He is the Way, the Truth and the Life; no one comes to God except by Him,
He will support and enable us as we walk upon lifes fragile limb!
