I could comfort you, if you ask me
It's not like I actually care
But if you need me to listen to what you would say
Then I'll let you believe I'll be there
In the long run, I guess you'll accept it
In the end I won't care if you don't
But I beg of you, just this one time, if you will
Do not ask me to stay...because I won't
You could hold me from now to your death day
You could scream all that you've left unspoken
You could mummur the words that I've begged you to say
As it falls, they won't fix what you've broken
The time trickles by me, unnoticed
This place is so dismal and bare
I look for the miracle promised to me
I'm not shocked when I find it's not there
When my last breath escapes as a sigh from my lips
And my fear takes a form all it's own
I will die with a smile...I've nothing to fear
Hell can't be much worse than I've known
