Love

Topic: Lifepoems

Sometimes love is just a smoky haze
Leaves you defenseless and in a daze
Till the clouds all clear and drift away
And you know there's nothing you can say
Love won't hesitate to say goodbye
And leave you crying out to the sky
It forgets what it ever fell for
Walks without a care straight out the door
Sometimes love leaves you asking questions
Because you've committed no vast sins
As beautiful as it is up there
Real and everlasting Love is rare
So keep at least one foot on the ground
And healthy temperance will be found
'Cause even the deepest happiness
Can leave you there with so much to miss
That's why you've gotta keep your chin up
You'll miss the sun if you don't look up
Through all the rain, keep looking ahead
You've gotta get up, don't stay in bed
They'll lie and they'll leave and not be there
Till you find someone who really cares
Who never did lose sight of the path
Who puts you first without any math
What we need is pure and simple Love
True commitment without push and shove
That's when you know it's real and special
They wouldn't do a thing but stand still
That's when it won't take any effort
To know they would never make you hurt
And you turn your face up to the sun
It always shines when you're with that one

He won't leave you. I just know it. He cares about you too much, and don't worry about Codi either. She means nothing to him. You're right, Love can leave you out in the cold with a broken heart, but when that happens, next time love always comes stronger and truer...and I'm not sure thats a word... Oh well. Anyway, Good poem Dee.

Love Always and Forever,
Emily

Actually, the only parts of this that were sort of inspired by Greg are the parts about finding someone who really cares, not someone who'll walk away when the smoke clears...like Garry did...that's who the rest of it's about, at least that's who I was thinking of when I wrote those parts.
