Yo-Yo

Contributed by pixie on Thursday, 4th November 2004 @ 03:20:08 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

My moods are just like a yo-yo,
Will I be here or there, who knows?
One minute Im up the next I am down
Today Ill be the jester; tomorrow Ill wear a crown.

My life has been such a bumpy ride,
For a brain I have scrambled eggs inside,
My hearts taken such a beating,
But it will take some damn hard defeating.

I am quite resilient when it comes to stress,
As I was born into this world already a mess,
I will cry but my tears they will fade,
But my feelings in public are never displayed.

Up & down is how my life has always been,
So many things that I shouldnt have seen.
My colours change just like the weather,
It seems I am always at the end of my tether.

I never really know my true feelings,
As my mood swings can be very deceiving,
I think I am happy but then realise I am not,
I believe Im stable then totally lose the plot.

I love this line: believe I’m stable then totally lose the plot.

I think it's hilarious...just loved it!!!!

A litle medical info a lot of people are not aware of.

SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) Seasonal affective disorder is a recurrent mood disorder with a fall-winter onset and a spring-summer remission (also known as SAD). Light therapy helps to alleviate symptoms of SAD.

Google it. It really truly is a disorder that can seriously affect moods.

I like this because I can relate, moreso, I think that almost everyone can relate to it.

The impression I get most from this is confusion. I mean that as in an internal emotion, not a logical wall. As in wondering why you don't know yourself.

I think you did a wonderful job of expressing yourself in an honest direct manner. =)
