Unwanted Birth

Contributed by willow_Tara72002 on Saturday, 6th November 2004 @ 11:45:28 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I put on a happy face
Around friends and family
I smile and laugh
I play the part to make them think Im happy

But honesty deep down im crying
My soul is dying
I wont let any of them see
How i really feel, must remain a secret

I celebrate my birthday today
Everyone seems so happy for me
But inside I wish i was never born
I dont want to live in this world anymore

I dread waking up everyday to this life
I hate knowing the truth,
But do everything to know it
I hate having lived another year of my life
I hate pretending, making jokes, acting a certain way
I just dont want to wake up anymore

Me, me, me, me, me. I'll bet you have a better life than half the people on earth. Be concerned for someone else for awhile, It'll make you feel better. Other-wise, a pretty good poem. And, God bless you is my prayer.
