I crack open a can of worms
My conscience is tellin' me
That I'll be eatin' those words
That I spoke
On the midday soap
I said "You can't have my teeth, Lady, everyday,
They are not equipped for such moral decay!"
What a fit that flirtatious woman had
She withdrew from herself,
Her sultry appeal being sapped
If I only knew what lay in store
I would have just left that place
Because she was feeling mighty sore
She came up behind me
And pinned everything on me
All her troubles and embaressment
She watched as she made the lie to bleed
I would be
Just another
Dead soap star
'Cause I was killing
Her hope star
So she
Killed me
I have seen what I have done
I could live with it no longer
Leaving the ways of the world behind me
Even though I'm dead my spirit is stronger
She did me in
But they can't ever say
There lied just another
Dead soap star
She couldn't kill
My hope star
For my Hope Star is Lord Jesus
And he lived for God and died for us
It is all about faith and
Who you really trust

Through Lord Jesus
