Lately I can't seem to find my imagination
Let's face it
The last few things I wrote
look like they were thought of in desperation
I'm capable of more than just heartbreaking lyrics
But I'm impatient
My problem must be lying deep within
And I'm too busy to carefully work out the flow of lines
Cause I'm so anxious to begin
The first line strikes me suddenly
I rush to write it down
But as I'm trying to keep it going
to keep the rhyme fresh
My rhythm starts slowing down
I lose the touch
Get distracted by a new feeling
So at the end my pattern gets confusing
But that is not what I am seeing
I get too caught up in trying to fit in
Original and catchy phrases
So by the time I'm done
My head begins to spin
I do not realize when it is time to stop
And every time it becomes more and more
Poetry for me is like a drug
Addiction that keeps making my brain sore

This is interisting-
Words just seem to come to me-
If I try to think while I am trying to write I loose the poem-
Poetry should be spontainus and from the heart not the mind...

I suppose you can give up hope,
I've never heard of an antidote,
You'll spend the rest of your life,
Dealing with this rythmic strife.
Take heart, there is to be found,
kindred spirits surfing all around.
