Our gazes shift awkwardly standing in the midst of the crowd You open your mouth but quickly withdraw allowing silence to return I gaze up at you as if ready to talk only to slightly smile and softly chuckle You mimic my gesture only to be interrupted I felt my body get thrust towards you while the laughter and voices of friends overpowered the crowd You slowly wrapped you hands around my waist Finally giving in to the pressure of our friends I leaned back into you resting my head on your chest while the music carried us away By the end of the night we bid our goodbyes Gathering the courage to embrace me before I left once again you wrapped you arms around me In time we may talk more but for now this will have to do
