Tonight Off

Contributed by Lessa on Monday, 8th November 2004 @ 10:36:37 PM in AEST
Topic: Nostalgic

Hair of nightly raven black
streaks of stars and moonbeams
this the night's beauty that lay befor me,

clouds up high so far away
merly covering Orian's chest
The Mama Bear calls baby
baby chases after
this all happens as i lay here on the grass
thinking of nights long since past
wishing the sky would go by slower

how long has it been since I could lay
on the ground holding on so so i didnt float away

I goto work so i can pay
my bills my taxs and food for the day
i work my 8 then run away
so i can sleep and eat and clean my life away

The night shes whispering sweet nothings to me
letting me rest.....
letting me forget.....
letting me stay awake and dream
tonights my day off, i have 2 in a row this week
so i lay awake holding on to the grass
watching mama bear call baby
watching baby chase after

That was beautiful I read it twice. It has an undescribable feeling/vibe to it that hit spot deep with in. Wonderfully written.
