Moments In Time

Contributed by Onslaught on Tuesday, 9th November 2004 @ 01:57:32 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

There is so much that I have missed
There is so much that I have not seen
There is so much that I have not heard
There is so much that I do not know
There is so much that I have not felt

From the first spark of existence
From the first spark of time
From the first spark of light
From the first spark of consciousness

Everything that has ever been
Everything that has ever occurred
I will never have a connection with any of it
I will never hold it in my memory
I will never glimpse, I will never touch

Every moment in time
Is gone

Thanks for the compliment. But I don't think I will ever be happy until I know everything. I want to be omnipotent.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
