UNWANTED POUNDS

Contributed by ladydp2000 on Tuesday, 9th November 2004 @ 12:57:47 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

We did it one time for hunger and fun
It was so... uuummmmm so good we did it again
When I really noticed it was too late
New habit gave me all these unwanted pounds

But anyway we continue to make a stop there
Bad habits sometimes are hard to break
Now I need to keep away
I can't even make it through one of those wide doors

Going to one those places for a fast bite
Sooner or later can give you a heart attack
You'll better soon stop all that foolish jazz
Or a little too early you'll end up inside that Box!

We all have done it for that first time
All good or bad habits started that way
Look at me poor me! now I live in my treadmill
All those unwanted pounds I need to lose

One two three one two three one two three
I guess for my sins we bloody sweat I have to pay
All those delicious hamburgers ooozing with so much fat
Have all gone to my super-sized hips tummy and thighs.

Read my poem Obesity my name is Solnubis, and you will know how much I understand this food addiction, when food has gotten so out of control and you just don't know how you got from A to Z.

Good write, felt it.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
