The Sweetest Ghost (Is You)

Contributed by Doriens_Picture on Wednesday, 10th November 2004 @ 03:00:38 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

The sweetest ghost

Is that which your lips leave haunting mine

With your eyes as its companion

I see your beautiful face everywhere I go

And sometimes follow it into places I have never been to before

Just hoping that it would be real and sometimes have it follow me home

I wake up in the morn and still feel like I have you in my arms

And your warmth on my body under heavy sheets of satin

In the cold air of my room we never were cold

And until I see you again I just have my memories

I never feel like I am alone

In my bed I still can feel your head resting on my welcoming chest

As I lei awake and see the illusions and feel your ghosts hand caress my face

And feel your eyes finally take shelter in mine

I am finally completed

This is longing this is devotion

This is more than wanting this what I feel is for you

The extremes of any and every emotion

That has ever been felt by me or anyone

This is all a consequence of you and

When the want of you starts to consume and tire me

You walk into the door and take

Your place between my arms and on my chest
