I'm Sorry...

Contributed by Kie-Kie on Friday, 12th November 2004 @ 10:26:04 PM in AEST
Topic: ApologyPoetry

I'm sorry I can't always be there
I promise I really do care
But it's like an endless riddle
I'm always stuck in the middle

I'm sorry I didn't do exactly what you wanted
But if I had I'd be left feeling haunted
Haunted by your endless fight
The ones where no on edoes what's right

I'm sorry thet I can't be perfect
I'm not a wind up doll you can direct
For you I've already changed so much
So we could keep, as friends, in touch

I'm sorry that I stood up for myself
That I quit playing Santa's little elf
I'm sorry that this tim eI could finally see
Just exactly what people have done to me

I'm sorry I noticed how nobody cares
That when I'm in the middle all I feel is dispair
I'm sorry that it had to be you
That found my limit and pushed me through

I'm sorry that I can no longer hold your pain
That I felt this time you should feel shame
I'm sorry that I'm human and actually cry
I'm sorry that eventually I'll have to die

I'm sorry for everything that I've ever done
To ruin your day or spoil your fun
I'm sorry I'm human and I make mistakes
So I'll leave now, if that's what it takes

I'm sorry I couldn't make you happy

Being a friend they say is give and take. You seem to have given so much. Cannot be there all the time
