I looked in his eyes
And he looked in mine
It seemed like we were standing
Frozen in time
I knew what was coming
I've known for so long
But I thought our love could make it
I thought maybe my insticts were wrong
"Please just tell me the truth
Don't leave me in suspense"
He said, "I do still love you
It's just not as intense"
So there you have it
Another love has failed
We said goodbye
And as I cried
The lid on the coffin was finally nailed
And though there's so much I'm going to miss
I always knew it would come to this
