Friends Who Kiss

The way you make me laugh
The way you make me feel
The nervousness I get when I see you
Makes me know my love for you is real
We are so hard to explain to people
They just don't understand
They think we are together
They think we go hand in hand
But we are friends who sometimes kiss
You touch me, you feel me
And everyone's confused
But you make me feel so free
You tell me everyone thinks we should be together
Then you say ' We really should'
But even though I know you love me
I don't think you ever could
We dream of heaven and talk of us
But never act on our emotions
People say all we need to make it work
Is some sort of love potion
But we don't need that or anything else
Because our love for one another is strong
But if we were to take our love that step further
It could make everything seem so wrong
I couldn't bare losing that
I couldn't risk losing you
If I ever lost my soul mate
I don't know what I'd do
That's why we won't be anything
But friends who sometimes kiss
I wouldn't risk everything I have with you
Because there's so much of you I'll miss
