I remember all the times That I would drown out my nights With one too many drinks And Im sorry for all the things I did And said to you I owe my life to the both of you The patience youve kept And passed down to me Gives me the strength To deal with almost anything And Id deliver a bloody fist To those who would destroy it The love youve given me Is a perfect example of unconditional And Ive often failed to return the favor. For some reason Ive never been able To open myself up to you And for that I blame myself Mother and I would sit and watch the rain Pour down from a humid Florida sky And its those rare days that I cherish most And father; your ability to make the best of everything Is a gift Ill forever thank you for Every waking moment I wish you were less like strangers And I know that this is somehow A mistake that I have made For some reason Ive pushed myself Away from you And this is hard for me to change If only I could reverse time If I could somehow bridge this gap If this were easy for me I wouldnt bother writing this And Id tell you how I feel face to face But Im sorry that Im weak So I wrote this for you.

Absolutely beautiful. I feel exactly the same way, only you were able to put it into words better than I ever could. Amazing! |
