Trapped in this portrait of nothing, surrounded on all sides by infinite space. Stumbling down the hallway I am lost; free-falling through the darkness I reach out for something, anything. And there you are, holding my hand, embracing my body while whispering softly to me. Your voice soothes the fear instantly, and your smile is music to my ears. Your deep eyes clutch my heart between rapid beats, calming my soul. Your gentle finger floats across my lips as I start to stutter, silencing me. While your small feet make magic on my back, working out life's knots and worries, I am in sweet heaven. Turning over and feeling your neck close to mine; hugging you and never letting go. The darkness is nearly gone, and I can almost see again.
