A lie
an illusion,
mocking utopia
a breath
a pearl slipping away
a smile under the stars
a crumb
footsteps on the sand,
erased by the endless waves,
an indefatigable race
towards a safe shelter,
ephemeral protection
from the reality that looms over
our young heads...
