First Snow Of The Season
~~~~
The first snow of the season
Is upon us at last
Days of warmer weather
Are things of the past
The gray clouds open up
To tiny little flakes
That floats to the ground
Like white cheddar rice cakes
Put on your scarf and your gloves
Your coat and your hat
And your oversized jeans
The ones that make you look fat
Lets go out in the yard
And make trees in the snow
Use pinecones for lights
And ribbons for bows
Lets stay out until ice cycles
Form on our face
We have until sundown
Not a second to waste
Its the first snow of the season
Its finally come at last
Ill enjoy every second
Of this wintry blast
