Her hopes and dreams were shattered
By one thing going wrong
She wanted to be a doctor
But struggled to keep up in school
Took to many classes
That it was a mistake
But I'm glad she made it or else she wouldn't be
The teacher who means so much to me
She is cool in many ways
Yes I know it's true
That if that mistake had not been made
I wouldn't know her now
And to that extent it saddens me
Thinking maybe it is not right
That she couldn't even do what she tried so hard to be
But that is something that makes her special to me
