Tonight

Contributed by thepumpkinking on Wednesday, 17th November 2004 @ 09:31:11 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

It's so surreal, acting like this
Talking so smooth with no worries
Your hair's radiant in the moonlight
It shines so bright,
so bright the moon is jealous

My heart is on fire, it's glowing through me
It's burning so hot, I'm turning so red
I'm all mixed up, my words are dumb
But I'm so happy and, oh, so sappy
Please just let this stay

My heart's tangled all up in this
But it's worth it to feel this way
And no one knows, they can't tell,
they've no idea
Just how much that I'm feeling

I can never forget this beautiful night of magic
That has the stars and the full moon hanging in the sky
They are draped over us as we walk and as we talk
And a cloud of past ashes begin to encircle my heart
From the dust I can see a burning bird of fire
And with a glance to your eyes I begin to melt
Words can't describe what you are, what I feel,
but I know that this is more than love
