A.P.B. Disguised Encouragement

Contributed by kidpoet_213 on Thursday, 18th November 2004 @ 02:30:30 PM in AEST
Topic: poets

Calling all poets... calling all poets...
An A.P.B. has been issued...
Be on the lookout... for some malicious comments
They are diguised as encouragement...
These comments come in all shapes... all sizes... all forms...
They are believed to be innocent words...
Designed to help the author be encouraged
But are really well aimed missiles... armed and dangerous
With harsh words meant to destroy and maim
Confidence and courage...
If you see any comments fitting this description...
Use extreme caution... approach with care...
That is all.

I won't honk. A critique is meant as encouragment..if it points out a mistake, that's well meant..because work that goes to an editor has to be almost perfect. Some of the stuff I see on here, including my own would never pass.. Do you think we should give a thumbs up to bad poetry? ignore spelling and grammer mistakes and not help people to improve if we can? What's the site for..
I doubt if anyone on the site is malicious. I think your poem is, a snide remark really..in poetic form. So you do the same thing....just as a post.

honk honk..... I believe if you have time to read a poem you have time to comment. in fact It was brought to my attention that we should comment because it is the rules. I say fine with the rules .. it is ok...but if you like the poet enough to read the poem then let the poet know. that you understand.. or don't. does one only read to make sure they write it correctly.. sounds kinda bad... anyways.. honk honk...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
