Everything Happens for a Reason

Contributed by daydreamer22 on Thursday, 18th November 2004 @ 02:48:54 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Instead of going to the Rodeo Dance
You lead me into the parking lot
I follow you to your truck
Where we sit talking for what seems like hours
But was only a matter of minutes

My heart is racing
It is the best feeling in the world
You tell me not to be scared
And kiss me for the first time

It was amazing
Everything was exactly how I wanted it to be
We were together at last

But now that feeling is gone
We have both moved on
Found other people
I still wonder at times, what if...

What if things were different between us
What if we had something more we just didnt realize it
What if I told you that I cared so much about you sooner
Would things be different than they are now

I think of you at times
Wishing things would have gone farther between us
But I try to think everything happens for a reason
I just wish I knew what those reasons were...
