Dance of Life

Contributed by Gentledove on Saturday, 20th November 2004 @ 07:20:22 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

We learn to dance, at first real slow,
Taking baby steps as we twirl and grow,
Led by those who know the tempo,
They know when to dip and when to tango.

Faster now, the quickened pace is set,
Follow your partner, they know best,
Sometimes the twirling will make you sweat,
This dance of life with partner met.

The dance doesn't end with the setting sun,
Dance with partner and growing children,
Both dance with them to teach precision,
Guiding, dipping till they earn their freedom.

Through the years the rhythim changes,
Sometimes quick with lots of flashes,
Sometimes slow, you only move inches,
This dance of life, danced through the ages.

This poem really got me thinking. Once I read it though, I was in the mood 2 dance a bit..(lol) but anyways this was a cool poem, dancing is so important 2 learn and im just nuts about it, so maybe I'm a bit biased when I say this was the BEST dance poem I've ever read..:P
