Stare at the Sun
You open your eyes
To the darkness
All you find is nothing
To hold on to
You close your eyes
To the brightness
All you find is your sin
To comfort you
You stare at the sun
Blinded by tears of sorrow
That were caused from
The never coming morrow
You close your eyes
While you're letting go
You never see that I try
To tell you of my love
Your anger and depression
Burned holes through your soul
Emptiness is the only emotion
You feel while life takes its toll
The sun stares at you
Past the darkness
That you go through
With its brightness
You closed your eyes
While you were letting go
With no reason to live at all
By yourself
You opened your eyes
Too late to see my love
And without its comfort you fall
With only emptiness to be felt
