simple things

Contributed by nightrider on Friday, 22nd November 2002 @ 04:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

a simple thing,
a household tool,
seems to hold the escape for me,
it was used before to cut some food,
but now it cuts my flesh,
fearful at first,
of what i was doing,
but not willing to give up,
i slowly began this horrible regime,
but as awful as this seems,
there just isnt a way out for me,
why cant i stop,
why?
i have no control over this anymore,
i cant understand what has happened to me,
why do i do this?
i have no answer,
all i can say is that i do.
my life seems so silly and crude,
my hopes and dreams are crumbling down,
is that what has driven me to this?
is that what drags me down?
or is it the lack of friendly faces,
or the pain of hurtful words?
whatever has driven me here,
holds me, and wont let me go,
so, here i will remain,
until a future day,
that i hope comes soon,
because i dont want to die,
at least not yet.

you haven't the slightest idea, how close that hits home for me. I am in the same spot and have been for about 2 months now. It is hard to see the road that leads to happyness, but i know its there. I have seen others i know reach it. So just have faith and you will pull through!!!
