A gentle loving caress to the body
And a tingling shiver spreads from within
Or a soft spoken word from a special somebody
Which flows and ignites an inner glow and warmth
A bright warm smile from a stranger that passes by
Creates a sense of well-being down deep inside
A loving expression, glance or look
Leads to a feeling like a fast bubbling brook
Someone shares a kind and gentle expression
Unleashing a flood like a hot shower spray
Perhaps we really do have something to offer
A feeling of acceptance and inner peace wells up within
Awareness that we are acknowledged
Brings a happy tear and tremor to our body
The loving hug we got the other day
Leaves us feeling joyful and upbeat
What an impact that loving expression had
As we cry those "Oh that's so special" tears
Our sharing of a sentimental moment with a friend
Causes feelings of validation that nearly overwhelm us
For someone to express an opinion we are worthy and talented
Leaves our hearts soaring like the majestic eagle
In that what we had to say really mattered
Was cause to silently cry for joy inside
To be liked by someone you respect and value
Is like an inner volcanic eruption exploding
Oh God, how good it feels to be loved by others
Awareness of your wonderful gift leaves us trembling
It is awesome that you are our redeemer and friend
Our souls are aflame with an inner fire of passion until the end
.... Thank you God for your unconditional love
