i take the blade with hate in my vains
i've tried so hard, for so long, to deal with this pain
the pain of knowing that i can never hold you close at night
so with the anger i feel, and the blade of steel, this is the end of my will to fight
i fought to show you that i am a different man
i fought to finally take your hand
but with my bad fortune, you told me you can't
as we part, tears form in my eyes, and i take the long way home
you rejecting my love feels like someone has butchered my soul
i get to my room, with tears falling
i can hear my wrists and knife calling
they call to me, telling me to deal with this pain
to deal with this pain in the best way
"the best way," i say in my head
after a long moment, i know the meaning of what the voices said
the best way to deal with this pain is to die from cutting the vain
so i sit in my chair, and pick up the sharpest blade
i ask god for forgiveness as i commit my worst sin
i fall to the floor, my wrists leaking, and my face with a grin
with my final breath, i pray aloud into the night
"heavenly father, forgive me of my sins, forgive me for destroying my own life"
though i feel i'm no longer heard by god
as my sight begins to blur, my pain is finally gone
you try to call, but get the machine
for some reason, you hurry over, to find the gruesome scene
blood on the floor, a knife in my hand, but no life in my skin
what a terrible sight it is to see a dead friend
but you gave me the pain i had felt for so long
the pain that became my savior when you were gone
you stand by my grave, by the side of my family, crying
my mother turns to you, to say "it's all your fault for him dying..."
"he loved you so much, why couldn't you see..."
"he would've done anything just to make you happy..."
"but you turne him down, and now he's dead..."
"i hope you're happy for what you did and said...."
the day finally fades, and night fills the sky
you see my face when you turn out the light
i speak to you with a subtle voice, though i should scream
i tell you that i love you even for the pain you caused me
i fade away into the darkness, and you begin to cry
hopefully, tonight will be your turn to die

| Slightly morbid...I really felt your pain. Good job of conveying your emotion. I hope this person realzes the love you have for them... But maybe they don't deserve you... |

Honestly...I see a really long poem and I think its going to end nowhere. And then I usually don't read the whole thing. But I'm glad I read yours, 'cause it really was a great write...I'm sorry for you pain.

i applaud you on the write
i agree that this person does not deserve your love
