when all is said and done
will you be there for me
will you still answer the phone
when my name is on caller i.d.
will you reply to my emails
even though we're done
will you one day admit that you
thought i would be the one
will you talk to me still
when i send you an i.m.
would you even care if i
never talked to you again
if i died tomorrow
just completely unexpectedly
would you come to my funeral
and maybe cry for me
i don't want an empty inbox
i don't want to die alone
so at least pretend you care
and please pick up your phone
