The Chase

Topic: StoryPoetry

"Thief. Filth. Scum."

You see me in front of yourself.
You see my life, poor and alone!
You see but do you care?

"You can run but you can't hide!"

"Thief! Filth! Scum!"

You see me in agony, starving.
You see me begging for shelter, food.
You see but do you care of the poor?

"Run, run away! Run, run for your life!
Hide, hide, you can not hide!"

I took my chance, for that you punish me.
I took my fate in my own hands.
I stole for my needs!

"You can run, but you can't hide!"

"Run, run forever! Run, run for your life!"

This chase for life...
This miserable play...
This little show to enjoy yourself.

"Thief! Filth! Scum!"

"Run, hide, run, hide, it is in vain..."

Can you see where this is going?
A sick manhunt, did you run out of witches?
Did you really think that it would be over so soon..?
Did you really think that we would give in?

This chase for life...
This miserable play...
This little show to enjoy yourself.

"Thief! Filth! Scu..."

Can you see your mistake?
Can you see my eyes?
Can you see the fire burning?
Can you see your end glooming over..?

Run, hide, run, hide, it is vain!
For it's my turn to play the cat!

Welcome to YPDC, Jodwin. Its certainly more uh, 'different' than what I found through your cheeseportal . . . a very interesting place, for sure.

Anyway, your poem expounds many thoughts and questions, which are rather interesting to my mind.

Well done,
Keep writing & commenting.

"You see but do you care of the poor?"

A pertinent question.
