A New Level Of Tolerance

Contributed by macmcgovern on Sunday, 28th November 2004 @ 04:32:45 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I dreamt I died
and went to hell
except it wasn't
as I thought at all
nothing changed
every things the same
governments ruled
the lame or insane
still playing
deadly games
violence once shocking
deplorably evident
reduced to acceptance
establishing
new levels of tolerance
solicit little remorse
become more degenerate

Once on knees
hands together
eyes softly closed
meant prayers heaven sent
left one feeling at peace
content
today
hands bound
blindfolded
a terrorist bullet leaves
little time to repent
lifeblood pouring
into the street
a victim at peace
a new level of tolerance
few will weep

Criticism, hatred, war
all common place
genocide of the weakest
the latest craze
start a rebellion
escalate to the next phase
great for the economy
everyone works
acceptable loses rule the day
a new level of tolerance
the military pays

Ignore what provides
the least return
look for the plan
which accommodates few
raise interest and taxes
benefit the most malevolent
force all business to foreign land
where wages are minimal
where profits are grand
blame the President
give him the yoke
a new level of tolerance
degrade all values
make him a joke

Internal strife accepted today
poverty, homelessness, depression
the price we all pay
organizations
with charity their name
shoulder responsibility
for the sick and lame
administrative costs
are their shame
a new level of tolerance
little left over
to do what they claim

Send aid to allies to love us today
later will send bullets back our way
take away discipline
take away prayer
take away patriotism
make morality an end game
new levels of tolerance
established every day

I awoke
it was no dream
nothings changed
I am in Hell

I prefer to think we're inbetween heaven and hell, since positive feelings nad experiences would not be possible for *anyone* in hell, not just some. Anyway, it's an interesting write. Blessings.
