I would dare say love is exactly five minutes into The Rain Song, Or when the world works the way you want it to
I would venture to say that love is something that cant be found, only shown, or that love will give itself to you on the least sensible of days
I could even postulate that love is some floating debris on the ocean, a speck of life where we thought there was none, and we are but a lonely jellyfish
For what else on this earth finds its needs without a brain, and with but the ocean currents leading it in the right direction?

There are so many kinds of love. Sadly, the most fickle and tempestuous kind (romantic love) gets all the attention. It's undeserving, of course, but it is the one we poets seem to dwell on. Interesting write. Certainly gave me pause to think.

"I've felt the coldness of my winter -
I never thought that it would ever go . . . "
The Rain Song happens to be my favourite Led Zep track. I can play it (well, half of it, having only a single-neck Les Paul) and its stirring.
Just like this poem.
Truly well done. |
