My Sad Song

Contributed by LilGnefkow on Sunday, 28th November 2004 @ 02:49:21 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Everything was going great

Then something slipped

Is this a mistake, or is it fate?

It feels like everything just ripped

My happy face doesn't stay out long

Nothing seems to go my way

More often I'm singing my own sad song

This started as a wonderful day

Now I can't help but just break down

Last night I was happy as can be

But now my face shows a frown

I'm not ok, can't you see?

I try so hard to not be sad

But now I'm drowning in the tears

He was the the best thing I ever had

We should have been for years

This is all I can think about

I don't think we can ever be fine

All I want to do is doubt

God, please give me a sign

When you said that we are done

My world began to crash and burn

When we were together, we had so much fun

I still have so much to learn

You say that I mean so much to you

This hurts so bad

How can you do the things you do?

Just thinking about you makes me sad

I hope you never do anything like this again

Because I'm lost

You put me through too much pain

And I'll never come back to you
