My desire chaser & Dream catcher... A ferocious, Ebony creature of perfect stature, Whose spit is like tar & Blood is red rust... Whose frenzied drumming hooves speak in dust. With white blaze on her head like a lone guiding star I can see it's phospherent light from afar. Eyes that burn with integrity of the same colour that the trees to bleed... Dulcet are her whinnys & screams, Of anguished tune & melody Carried out on the nights air in the frequency of memory. She was born straight of perdition, From the black liquids & Ashes of the surreptitious. A manifestation of imagination's infestations... ..& twice as wild. Possessing a fathomless & imposing grace she leads the way With her carnivorous teeth ensanguined & bared. She grazes upon the viscera & flesh of the weak... She quenches her thirst upon the souls of those who choose not to think. She patrols the precincts of this mind's internal landscape & provides the travel between this world & the next... My dark velvet skinned ghostly steed, my astral plane guide... She takes me across to the other side... Walks among the moving water gardens of anemone, Rides out on the rough waves of a treacherous sea.. Where she becomes the black horse among the drowning white. Like a magnificent shadow sailed ship; Fully equipped & built for it.. Beyond & through the mental storms, The swirling thoughts like maelstroms... She never lets me down... Muse, Vision, Vessel, Friend... She is a means to an end.

The dual meaning, in which your title possesses, boosts, as well as compliments your rich muse. Your descriptive and detailed language is rather vivid and sound, thus, the competent imagery. The vocabulary is extremely manipulative -as you have demonstrated-... filtering the static... your words are pure and elegant. This is a piece or rarity... beauty. Compliments to this poet! *Applauds* |
