I just realized
How I never really liked you much
Outside of smarmy love affairs,
Fervent breathless meetings
Warm smells in dark places
Your conversation, well
Words would fall from those
Sticky lips
And I must concede
Only partial consciousness.
But those same honeyed lips,
Moist and never ending
I admit,
To losing myself in them
Instead of your eyes
Since eyes held your soul
And I never really found myself there
Did I?
Yet,
Knowing I will never forget
The moments that were lost in you -
That I can never recover what is no longer
Mine.
And knowing too, that giving up even
Just that much
Is more than I have known
Since your warm wet lips
Left mine.
I just realized,
That I never really liked you much
But I find myself missing
What I gave away.

| geez... me? I miss the eyes..the words..I miss everything..never did get any of the warm, wet lip stuff..I would have liked that..even with lies. LOL. remember that song? Tell me lies? They sound good in the dark.. but then I'm a lonely soul. Nice refreshing truthful write. When did these start happening? lol. |
