There you sit,
Behind dusty glass,
And tattered frame
Gleaming smile,
It feels like forever since Ive seen that smile
That face lit up with happiness
The scenery is blurred,
Youre the only thing in focus
Beautiful, mysterious, radiant splendor
A moment caught with a hasty click
Memories kept forever,
Beneath the crystal wall
A babies first steps,
My 10th birthday,
The great family reunion
Flipping through pages upon pages,
Of my innocent childhood
The Monster stares up at me,
Eyes twinkling with pride,
As HE held me close,
Cheek to cheek
Face sullen, amber eyes filled with hidden anguish,
Desperately wanting to reveal the secret
Show everyone what my father really was
Emotions never shown,
Words left unsaid,
Screams left neglected
A photograph is said to capture everything
All that it has captured,
Is a girl with a happy mask, and solemn eyes
Never the essence within,
Never the pain inside,
Never the frozen sorrow that melts down pallid cheeks
All invisible to the naked eye
I considered myself beautiful then,
A healthy glow, glimmering eyes, broad smile
As I delved deeper into the Family album,
I smiled less, my eyes became dead,
And I, once so lovely,
Had wilted into nothing

Very powerful poem.
Brought the tears flowing for a child with so much pain inside.
A victim full of innocence FleurdeSang

I considered myself beautiful then,
A healthy glow, glimmering eyes, broad smile…
As I delved deeper into the 'Family” album,
I smiled less, my eyes became dead,
And I, once so lovely,
Had wilted into nothing…

Beautiful creative talents and abilities.
May your smile return and your eyes shine
Universal rose so lovely so pure
When wilted petals surface scatter them in the wind
Be free

A heartfelt yet beautiful poem

Love Sweetangelukxxx
